L'exposition "Dix mille ans de luxe" (Louvre Abu Dhabi, 30 octobre 2019-18 février 2020) présente les multiples facettes du luxe, de l'Antiquité à nos jours. Son catalogue permet d'explorer cette notion à travers la couture, la joaillerie, l'art visuel, le mobilier et le design, avec des chefs-d'oeuvre venus des collections d'institutions et de grandes marques internationales. Parmi les pièces majeures présentées figurent notamment la plus ancienne perle connue au monde ; le célèbre Trésor de Boscoreale, l'une des plus grandes collections de pièces d'argenterie datant de l'Antiquité romaine ; des robes et des bijoux conçus par de grandes maisons telles que Cartier, Maison Van Cleef & Arpels, CHANEL, Christian Dior, ELIE SAAB et Yves Saint Laurent.

Its catalogue allows the reader to explore luxury through fashion, jewellery, visual art, furniture and design with masterpieces from the collections of international institutions and brands.
